Continued – Let me also say, I made a fair amount of money doing this. You can make a ton of cash, especially if you start up with enough $ to have a sales person. I paid 1000 per month office rent and made about 1500 for myself with 2 employees paid on commission 20%.
It’s just that the work involved outweighs the benefit. Each item had to be inspected, tested, pictured, researched, listed, sold, shipped, and whatever else came along. EACH ITEM! I say specialize. Picture one, sell many.
I like KH, gets the mind going, but…..
This is the hardest kind of ebay selling IMHO. You’re dealing with a constant change in product and condition. I was never able to get the same stuff twice, at least not close to specialize in anything. That’s where the gravy is. Pick a single type of product (could be many, but same type like toys or mag ads, or PDFs) and promote from there. Otherwise you’re subject to heavy market fluctuation and sheer luck. Not to mention testing each product.
